my mom has medicare and medicaid already do I need to sign the admission agreement for short term stay in a nursing home?

If you don't sign, they won't take her. So sign and write POA after your name on everything you sign and keep copies of those documents.

No, you do not! If you do, they may likely hold you responsible for the bill. However, if you are her POA sign your name as POA for your Mom.
