How can I trust the caregiver? If I fall asleep, I'm worried about a caregiver taking something.

I take care of my mother (92). I'm very sick. Have vestibular migraines I get very dizzy and fall sometimes . I know the owner of one agency I trust her. How can I trust the caregiver . If I fall asleep worried since I"m sick about a caregiver taking something .

I already know whats wrong with me Have an appt wih a dr next month but have to take care of my mother now. By the way am not putting her in a nursing home . I love her dearly. It would have been nice if her younger daughter could help but that's out of the question

I was planning on doing that anyway. I can get the junk and some of it is. I figured out how I can do in a fast way. You helped me come up with a short term solution! Thank you

I might use a service who is bonded. Also, I'd take photos of the items and make sure they are covered on your homeowners policy, so you can file a claim if they are stolen.

Then, I'd address your own health. It sounds like you may need some medical help for yourself. Have you explored why you are falling and feeling dizzy. That would concern me.

My Dad had 3 shifts of caregivers all week long, and a different shift on the weekends. Lot of different caregivers during that time. Not once was anything taken. And Dad use to leave out his wallet, bills, coins. My late Mom had an extensive collection of expensive glassware sitting in a china cabinet and not one piece was missing.

If you are worried about things missing from your Mother's house, I suggest when you feel better to put those things into a locked room or if the items are small into a locked trunk.
