My mom drinks a glass of prune juice a day but despite the use of her plastic disposeable bibs (which she sometimes removes before she should) she spills them on herself and has pretty much ruined all her pretty shirts. Any suggestions for senior cups, good stain removers (to put on till laundry service comes), etc. The color makes the clothes look awful and soiled especially when she has a doc appt. Eventually we will have our own washer and dryer in the house but it will take some time.

Second, you might try an apron rather than a bib. An apron ties at the waist as well as the neck and is a more familiar article of clothing, especially to a woman. Also look into Cobbler Aprons, which are basically loosely fit, sleeveless blouses that women used to wear to keep their clothes clean.
I have great success with Shout as a stain remover, but I haven't had to deal with removing prune juice. The lids on the mugs keep the liquids off Mom's clothes, even when she tips it a little.
Hope this helps even a little.

Do you have Vanish in America? It works on most stains as long as the wash temperature isn't too low or the cycle too brief. You can't use it on silk or wool, though.
