Do you have to give 30 days notice when moving from ALF to nursing home for higher level of care?

Depends on the contract that was signed upon moving in to AL. But if the move is your idea and not theirs - yeah, most likely notice is required. Check the fine print for any loophole such as this being a "doctors order" move.
