Will I be able to get hospice care for her if she got Medicaid for nursing home? I want to take care of my mother before she dies. She has Alzheimer's. She is in a nursing home in Maine but I am in Massachusetts. If I bring her to my home, would I be able to get Medicaid for her to get hospice care when the time comes?

If there is a medical emergency while on your trip back to Mass, I believe Medicare would cover its share. But if the emergency was outside of Maine, then a percentage would be out of pocket as you wouldn't have Medicaid as secondary insurance.
Before you bring Mom to your home, contact your own State's Medicaid office to see what steps the Commonwealth will require before your Mom can be on Mass Medicaid. Some State might want a residency requirement of so many months.
Gosh, there are so many things you need to think about.
1. Transport could kill her.
2. Maine Medicaid ends at the state line. Hospice services end at the county line where she is. So all expenses are yours, including the transportation to your home. Please reconsider your plan.

Hospice can be at home or in a facilty.
Whether at home or facility hospice does not provide 24/7 care. Whatever her care costs are now won't change very much.
And, taking a dying person into the home is a huge undertaking. Make sure you understand what lies ahead before doing this.
