I just wanted to say I'm sorry, too. I just lost my father after a 5 year battle with Lewy Body Dementia, and then in April he was diagnosed with liver/pancreatic cancer. He died in hospice. I was so mad that he had to suffer through both illnesses, it just seemed unfair. Prayers to you.
Adrenal cancer can either be benign (not cancerous) or cancerous. Adrenal glands sit on top of the kidneys. Having both adrenal glands affected is rare, so it might just be one gland. If he is on hospice, his doctor has determined no amount of chemo, radiation or surgery will help an already terminal patient (dementia). Therefore, love him for the time he has remaining and my prayers are with you both.
Ann, I'm not sure but I just wanted to say I am praying for you and your husband. It must have been a very difficult five years and now you are facing his cancer. His doctor might have some sense for how this cancer typically progresses. I hope you are getting support for yourself too, during this time. Take care.
