Mystery21, as you already know your hubby's sister has no idea how much work is involved with a patient who had serious memory issues. People don't realize when a person is now living in a nursing home, there is a very good reason, that patient needs a much higher level of care.

Sounds like an Elder Law Attorney, who can act as a "mediator", [thus, not representing either party] might help. The whole family can sit at the table, ask questions, and if any legal questions come up, the Mediator can answer. Maybe a Social Worker could be present as this isn't their first rodeo. The nursing home could send over a list of what takes place every day.

You and hubby are doing what is in Mom's best interest, and the fact that she is doing better in the nursing home is a clear sigh that this is working.

It has his name on all the paperwork and only he can get her release but she's trying to get the other siblings to sign papers against him she doing better with the 24 hr care I'm just so scared if she figure out a way she will die in her care I remember she was suppose to keep her for a week and 3 of those days she claim she didn't eat and that's when I went got her from over there and she never been back to her house since and right now we gets calls stating that she's aggressive and fight and a lot of time me and my husband have to go there to calm her down should I talk to a Laywer

What does the signed agreement from the nursing home say?
