We're at a stage of having trouble getting our Mother to shower and wash her hair. Any ideas?

This is so common Jilly, I'm surprised you haven't had more responses. You can probably find some good tips if you search the site, try something like "won't shower" or "won't bath"

There is dry shampoo you can use. Maybe give her sponge bath with wet wipes used in nursing homes or rehab.

When I have trouble convincing Mom to take a shower...I tell her that people are complaining about her stink.

She remembers Dad smelling really bad and her also having trouble with his stalling all the time. I think this is the reason this arguement works so well.

My issue is similar ... I cannot seem to get her to shower more than about every 10 days. She sort of "knows" she doesn't smell bad in less time than that.
