Can I get paid to care for my mother who has dementia?
She lives in Puerto Roca and is 70. She can't remember things, she falls a lot and needs help to bathe and wipe. I need to know if there is a program that allows me to get paid to do all this work for her.
judy, the vast majority of adult children do not get paid... unless the parent can pay that caregiver from their own retirement fund.
You could contact your local Medicaid office to see if maybe there is a program where a relative could be paid, but please note that payment would be minimal.
