If mom passed away on the 1st and I wrote our rent check for the 3rd when our disability checks get deposited, will I have to pay it back?

Me and my mother share a bank account in VA, she gets her disability check direct deposited.  She passed away unexpectedly on the 1st, I had wrote our rent check already and dated it for the 3rd because that's when both of our disability checks come in. I had Durable POA, I was her caregiver and only child. Will I get in trouble and/or have to pay it back? Because now her account says -$898 and the rent check was $870
