Mother keeps wiping her teeth and tongue with no explanation why. Has anyone seen this?

She is 91, has pulmonary fibrosis and a hernia. Medically is only on synthroid for hyperthyroid. We started her on OCD medication but it doesn't seem to help. Any suggestions?
