Does Michigan Medicaid cover Alzheimer's patients in assisted living?

I'm not sure what Michigan offers, but, some states have their own Medicaid type program for the disabled or dementia patients that covers Assisted Living. Maybe, someone here may have experience with it. I'd check with your local department of social services or counsel on aging. In my state, their offices process all applications for services regarding Medicaid, State funded aid for dementia patients, and Medicaid medical. (all other benefits and services too.) I'd check to see if your county has such an office.  I found a site on line that provides an overview, but, it appears to be on straight Medicaid and I think that is for nursing home care.  Plus, I'm not convinced it was a recent brochure, so, I'm not going to PM that to you.
