Any information on lung diseases and how to help make my mom comfortable?

Mom was diagnosed with lung disease back in November. The name of it is interstitial (ILD) I have done online research, but it's very scary. I'm just worried now how mom will be able to handle it when it progresses and worsens. Not sure how I will cope either when I lose her. I try not to dwell on it because I have to cope with her loss at some point. Do any of you have direct experience with this type of lung disease? Hugs and have a great new week! Diannekk
