My mother passed away without me there. What do I do?

I called the nursing home. Yesterday, the nurse on duty told me my name was not on the list given by POA to be with my mother, she had a lot of POA with her but not me, I have such sadness to even think someone has the rights to me, for two weeks prior, I was not there, please tell me what to do? I want this to be right.
