Talk with an Elder Law Attorney in your state. Medicaid has home care programs that may make it possible for you to continue providing care for your uncle. Is he a veteran? If yes, check on Aid & Attendance pension, starting with many articles here on AgingCare.com
sharae, the vast majority of grown children do not get paid for taking care of a relative... unless that relative can pay you himself from his own retirement fund.
Otherwise, see if your Uncle can qualify for Medicaid [which is different from Medicare] as some States have programs where a family caregiver can get paid, but the pay would be quite minimal.

I would speak with a social worker and see what options are available through the community and or through church programs.
