Mom is always freezing when her shower is given. Will a towel dryer help?

Put the towel in a roasting pan in the oven on 200 or lowest settle for 15 minutes. Run a space heater in the bathroom and get it nice and warm to start. Then, bring the towel in just before you have her come out of the shower. The towel will "cool" down to nice and warm in the time it takes for her to come out.

We used two space heaters... One in the bathroom and one in the room we would dress her. I also bought a large Terry cloth robe. We put that on her immediately after the shower, even before moving her from shower chair to wheel chair. We also did mom's hair on a different day, in the kitchen sink with a sprayer. I bought a cool thing on Amazon called a hair funnel. While it isn't perfect, it sure helped the process. We also have electric blankets, one in her room, one on her recliner in the living room. All this heat and we live in the dessert of Arizona ;-)

Thanks everyone....Good idea to try washing the hair on a separate day. I did not think of that.

I like the space heater idea. I will try that. I have the same problem.

I ran a space heater in our bathroom for Mom's baths. It got so hot in there I could hardly stand helping her, but she was satisfied.

I haven't used a towel warmer, but I have heated blankets and towels in the dryer, you only leave them in a few minutes (set the timer) so it is perfectly safe.
My mom was always miserably cold too, despite having a heater in the bathroom, and it felt like a sauna to me! The best advice I can give is to soap up and rinse off quickly, even though I had to help mom transfer we were in and out in under 10 minutes, I usually did her hair separately in the sink on another day. After her bath I would dress her warmly and wrap her in a blanket or sometimes tuck her in bed for a nap with a hot water bottle.
