My wife and I are wanting to become service providers in our home to 2 or 3 elderly or special needs people. How do we get started?

My wife is a very caring and giving person with a nursing background and we now have a large home. We are looking to be caregivers in our home because we also have a 5 year old child. So how and where do we get started? Thanks, we're in Orange Texas.
