How can I get my mom to reverse her sleeping hours?

She is 83, has mild dementia and nerve damage in her legs, along with osteoarthritis in her knees. She uses a walker to get around. She gets up around 10:30 a.m., piddles around the house, does the crossword puzzle until she loses interest, then naps during the day while watching TV. She goes to bed around 10:00 p.m., but for the last month she calls me anywhere between 2:00 and 4:00 a.m. I am exhausted because I cant get back to sleep and have to work.

You call her doctor and get her sleeping meds. Perhaps something mild like melatonin might work.

Depending upon her other issues, the doctor might ask for a sleep study to be done.

Does she go to a senior center or adult day care?

Those might provide her with more stimulation, less chance for daytime napping.
