My mother is blind and in failing health. She needs a purpose (something meaningful) to do when no one can be with her. Any ideas would be appreciated.
Check out the third hit; it might offer some good suggestions.
W/o going through all the posts pulled up by the search I just did, I'm wondering if there is an Assn. for the Blind, or something similar in your area, or in your state government? Michigan did have one; I don't know if it still does.
I've picked up literature from organizations for the blind at the annual Area Agency on Aging expos. You might contact your local AAA, or even the Alz. Assn. (which is top notch for recommendations) and ask if they have any lists of organizations that might provide activities.
This is the list of Google hits for "activities for the blind". You might find something helpful in one of these hits.
