Gentle water exercise aimed st Seniors might be ok for him as long as he has someone to aid him in and out of the pool and monitor his breathing. You must also get a doctor’s approval for him to join a water exercise class. He has to be surpervised at all times and if it seems he’s in distress, aid must come immediately. This situation would be good for him if he was always active in swimming, But if he’s never done it before, I might research other ways to exercise.
Talk to your dad's doctor before putting him in a pool. If he has shortness of breath just walking through the house I'm not sure it's a good idea for your dad to be in water.
