59 year old with early onset dementia. Need advice on how to get help finding a place for care?

Friend's wife is 59 yrs old-fast pace disease, does not recognize her children's pics & is afraid of her husband sometimes as a stranger. Needs help finding a place for her- will S.Security give her disabled Security check- is Medicaid her only help? One place close to her home has Alz classes to help but she had to be 62. They live in ILLINOIS. Advice much welcomed
