How do I handle my mom "bad mouthing" me behind my back?

My mom says mean things about me out loud like I can't hear what she is saying. It makes me so mad. My mom says she loves me but is it even true.

Yes, please tell us more about your mom's age and her medical condition. If she has dementia, that's very common. If she has dementia, her brain is broken and not logical.

Ashley, sounds like your Mom might have some type of dementia. With dementia is it not uncommon for a person to says mean things that are not true.
