He came home from the nursing home for a few hours and went through a few drawers in his room. He wanted to put a pocketknife, razor blades and a flashlight in his bag to take back with him. He was acting strange. He also said there’s a chance he wouldn’t be back home because he may die. He is becoming more and more of an OCD hoarder in his room as well. Help!

I'm so sorry, please do as gladimhere is suggesting and alert the nursing home. It certainly doesn't sound right and he needs to be monitored. I wonder if you have can have the nurse or doctor review your dad's meds and the possible side effects. Or have a psychologist see if he is depressed. It certainly isn't easy getting older, but we need to do what we can to protect them.
