We live in TX and would like to find out of anyone knows if Medicare will help
pay for home health care for my 90 year old Mom. She can not walk or transfer on her own and needs to be helped with bathing, etc.
The family can no longer afford to pay for her nursing home and she has been denied Medicaid coverage. Any knowledgeable advice will be appreciated.

I have called so many places trying to get help, but am still at square one. I just ordered all the statements from the bank yesterday, but even when I get them, I don't see how I will have all receipts, etc. that my Mom spent on everything.
I'm guessing at this point I need to figure out where she will go from here. I have no clue and my brothers are of no help. I am feeling so overwhelmed.
Take a deep breath.
You’ve got to get this renewal done.
Unless there has been some major change in Moms financial situation in the last 5 yrs like Mom sold her house and gave the money to her kids or she has the money sitting in an account somewhere it’s possibly Texas Medicaid being Texas Medicaid.
If you have a local Medicaid office start there. Don’t call. Walk into the office. Talk to someone there. Try to find out exactly what they are looking for.
If you have a smart phone there is an APP you can download. Thru the APP you can snap a pic of the documents hit send and they have the document.
If your Mom’s Medicaid caseworker is helpful, yes they do exist, they might exchange email addresses with you and send you requests, you send the documents thru the APP, then you follow up the next day by email. You ask did you get the documents? What else do you need?
Who helped you get Mom signed up for Medicaid originally?
I do sympathize, it is stressful.

I think you better spend some of what your mom has left to consult and Elder Law attorney and see if they can help you streamline providing what Medicaid wants.
I can well understand how weary you are of this whole process. But giving up Medicaid will have a huge financial impact. I hope you can get some advice, get some rest, and have enough energy to get her qualified again.
with the renewal app, they are requesting tons of records for the past five years.
That would take an incredible amount of time and work to gather everything that
was deposited and withdrawn from her account. I have been handling my Mother's
business for 17 years now, and frankly, am very stressed at this point. When I send
records they want more records. I'm tired and have to find another alternative now that Medicaid is making it so hard for her to get approved. It's very perplexing to me why they now want all this information.
I've found no one to help, the nursing home financial mgr. isn't helpful, Medicaid isn't helpful, so I am at my wits end and very mentally distraught at this point. My other
two brother's are no help whatsoever. I'm on my own and am running out of ideas as to what I can do.
Do you have any grounds to appeal the Medicaid decision? Have you seen an Elder Law attorney about the situation?
