(She had a stroke back in 2009 and then a mild one in about 2010 that we were unaware of at the time. So she continues to have 24/7 care since that and a hip fracture in 2010.)
It seems the aide that is with her for about a year now, thinks it is not really needed. It is tempting to cancel it to reduce her monthly bills but I am just wondering if it would ever come in handy for example if she had a stroke and was unable to voice the need for help from her aide if the aide was in another room. (I am not sure if she could hit the pendant if she was unable to speak....) Any thoughts? Anyone use both a live in and a pendant?
