I'm also interesting in trying the pad that can be easily removed/replaced throughout the day. Hopefully that will help. My dad has a little bit of dementia or Alheimer-type symptoms; he's also been a very optimistic person and/or in a bit of denial about things, so I'm not sure in what circumstances the accidents are happening. Sometimes it's when he's just sitting, so it's obvious overflow leaking. Other times it's when he exits the bathroom - so I'm wondering if he is accidentally peeing between the time he gets his pants down and the time he sits on the toilet.
Someone on this site once recommended Abena Abri. i'm in the process of ordering some to try. In the past, my dad was reluctant to use them because they look more like a diaper than Depends. But we are now in same situation as your family - Depends is not enough anymore.
Try Tranquility brand. You can get them on Amazon. They have daytime and overnight, in pull-up or tab styles. I think we tried every brand out there. These are a little more expensive but totally worth it, especially when you don't have to do as much laundry. You can buy by the case and save money that way. They are softer, have better coverage (no wedgies or leaks), so they are more comfortable. Plus they are super absorbent and they hold a lot of fluid. We've been using these exclusively for several years, that's how good they are. Good luck to you.
