Vista, my Mom was just like your Mom... refused any outside care nor cleaning crews. It didn't make life easy. Mom was just in denial.
As for a caretaker support group, call your local agency on aging to see if they have a list of such groups. I know I couldn't find one where I lived, and I was in a large metro area. Reason being, most caregivers cannot get the time off to attend, or to find someone to take care of their love one while being at a meeting.
