How does a disabled woman get help with housekeeping and cooking?

I am a 71 year old female. I have home health service, but they do not do any cleaning or cooking. Only have a nurse, nurse aid, and physical therapist. I cannot afford to pay private cleaners or cooks. Does any one know how I could get help with laundry, cleaning and cooking? Thank you.

Maybe check with local churches, United Way, or your local senior services agency. Lots of volunteer groups might be able to help. Meals on Wheels may also be an option. Ask your doctor if they can help you get a social worker. I pray you find the help you need!

You might contact your county to see what resources might be available, starting with a social worker. Your state might also have a senior division. Michigan has one, with a lot of good information.
