My husband, who has had a heart attack, 2 strokes and dementia, has a sudden change in his gait. Does this warrant a trip to the ER?

Does your insurance company offer a nurse line? I would call that, and /or his doctor to ask if you should proceed to the ER.
Think about if you are willing to put husband with dementia through an extensive workup or hospital stay.
