Dementia caregiver payment, how did you come to the amount that was agreeable for you both?

I have 5 other siblings and when my father passed away in 2016 my mother wanted to live with me, as I'm the only one who could "ever" take care of her like I do. She has dementia and needs 24/7 care, around the clock. My question is this... Is anyone else getting paid by their parent that they're taking care of "and", how did yo come to the amount that was agreeable for you both? Thank-you!!
