Jessica, two ways to have home care. One is self-pay, meaning your Mom call a Caregiver Agency and pays them herself.
Another way is for Mom to apply and be approved by Medicaid [which is different from Medicare]. Mom then might get an Aide who can come in for a few hours each week. I don't know if that would be enough for your Mom.
If your Mom needs around the clock care, then you would need to decide whether to place Mom in a Nursing Home. Medicaid would pay for all her room, board, and care.
