Any suggestions for how to keep area around toilet clean?

My dad has been in a wheelchair for 18 months. He has a toilet seat chair but it not helpful when he has to pee. I know he still tries to pee by himself standing up but at least one aide in the bathroom with him. He is 88 with advanced dementia. His hands do shake and pee is always getting on the floor. He is not real keen on using a plastic urinal as he cant hold it by himself. So his floor by the toilet is always sticky and has to be washed several times/day. Can't put a rug down due to trip hazard. Any suggestions other than washing floor several time/day? His AL is looking for suggestions.

His room has a wheelchair accessible bathroom with a wall mounted sink near the toilet.

I just wonder if placing the water proof bed pads around the toilet might help. Are the cabinets getting splashed on? If so that is not good for them. They may start to smell.

The only option is to make him sit. A commode would be higher. If you have room, you take the back bar of the commode off. Slide the commode over the toilet. You can take the toilet seats org or just keep them up. There is a splash guard that can be put in the place of the bucket. Dad will have the arms to help him up and be more stable. But will be higher if he stands.
