My Dad had expensive hearing aids that never seemed to work well for him, despite many adjustments. He ended up losing them at rehab over a year ago and we had pretty much decided not to replace them as he did not seem interested. All of a sudden, he is showing some interest. He was trying to call about them today..... from a card he found in with his TV Ears. I saw those recommended on here so thought I would ask for input once again. Does anybody have any experience with the UltraVia hearing aids? I want to look into some different ones but we are not going to spend thousands of dollars when they could end up flushed down the toilet or thrown out. He needs simple ones. His expensive ones had a little remote and some other things but he would absolutely not listen or try to use them as he was repeatedly shown on appointments. Any recommendations, comments, shared experiences are welcome!

I took her to a new hearing center and they did a great job of finding the best style to help her hear. The brand was Starkey.. We didn't get the highest model because there was no need to get the remote control but they were still expensive. She received a small white cup to store them in which she uses each night. Pulse one is red and one is blue so they are easy to see. She has done so much better about keeping track of them. We don't find ourselves yelling as much. Starkey also has accessories you can use to help hear the tv or one on one conversation. These last pair were worth it.
