hgADVOCACY1, I doubt there is any type of funding that would allow a grown child to buy or rent a larger home to take care of a parent. On this forum have been grown children who slept on the sofa in the living room so that their parent could have the only bedroom in the home.
How is your mother doing? Does she need around the clock care? If yes, then check with Medicaid [which is different from Medicare] as Medicaid does have current programs where a love one moves to a skilled nursing facility and Medicaid pays for everything at the facility. I realize that may not be a choice you want. It's something to think about. You can call your State Medicaid office to get more information.
