Mother in law refuses nursing home, is there anything we can do?

My MIL is 90 and showing signs of dementia or Alzheimer's. She has always been stubborn and negative, even things her family dies to help her or to benefit her. She is a very negative person. Her forgetfulness and lies are such now that we feel a nursing home admission will be coming. We have durable Power of atty. When the time comes, if she physically will not go to a care facility, is there any thing we can do? I am certain she will not go.
