Is there financial help for people that have dementia to help pay for co-pays and MRI co-pays?

Thank for your kind help. I am the one who has Dementia.
I was assaulted 2 years ago and was wondering why I was in a fog all the time. I have Optum thru Unitedhealthcare and the co-pays are too high. I have even pounded the internet and even asked the famous Barrow Neurological Institute if they offered a program for hardships.
I'm being turned away because I am too rich and not poor enough. Arizona is a cheapskate state that offers Medicaid if your the absolute poorest of poor unlike other States.

Can you contact Medicaid (Medi-Cal in California) to see if your friend is eligible?
I believe qualifications are less than $2000. in the bank and possibly a limited income.
If she/he is eligible, there would be no cost or copays.
Contact the Medicaid office directly. I hope you have medical power of attorney or your friend isn't too far advanced with the dementia yet.
If you don't have POA you should get it.

We have Kaiser and if you can show hardship you can get Financial Aid, that doesn't have to be paid back. My niece has some serious medical issues right now, and she works but doesn't make enough so she applied and Kaiser is covering the cost of every medical need (even those not related to her current medical issues) including co-pays, pharmacy, etc. She contacted the medical secretary office of Kaiser for directions on what to do.

I am not sure of any resource for Co pays which are usually the responsibility of the insuree but check with your county Dept of Aging or Alzheimer/Dementia organizations.
There are so few state & federal resources available these days.
