What do you do when the nursing homes and memory care facility won't take him and he is stuck in a psychiatric ward at a hospital?

I'm so sorry to hear about this difficult situation. Have you tried talking to the social worker? I know its a vicious circle sometimes. With certain health conditions and medications the patient can also sometimes be misdiagnosed. Is there anyway you can get a second or third opinion? I hope the social worker or hospital staff can help you find another option.

Unfortunately there is not much you can do. NH and MC are probably concerned for the safety and well being of their residents. The hospital may not want him around much longer as well.
