Need a dentist for an Alzheimer's and dementia patient in pain. Any suggestions?

Hi. I am looking for a dentist referral for my 92 year old aunt who is in bed and has Alzheimer's and dementia. Need to see a dentist as soon as possible, she has been complaining all day about toothache. I have contacted many dentists in my area and none of them are willing to see her because of her condition. Please, I need help, this is so terrible that no one wants to help a 92 year old person with pain. There should be more professional dentists for this type of patient. Looking forward to hearing from you soon. We are in Miami, FL 33193. Thank you.

I was just in your shoes! I called all of the nursing homes in my area and none of them could help me!
I had to get a mobile dentist that made house visits to come see my Mom. They did everything in her hospital bed. I had to pay out of pocket but so worth it!
Google search-Mobile dentist in Miami. I hope you are able to find someone!

Call the nursing homes near you and ask what dentist comes in to see residents.

Tulispain, try contacting a dentist who specializes in children's dentistry, they are use to how children can react, which is similar to that of a person with dementia.

Otherwise, call your local agency on aging to see if they have a list of dentists who will take a dementia patient. I am assuming your Aunt's previous dentist won't see her?

Toothaches can be quite painful. Have your tried using Orajel which will help temporally deaden the nerve that is causing the pain? Put the gel on using a Q-tip so not to get it on the person's tongue otherwise it would numb the tongue.
