He cashed in a bond to help me, his daughter because I cannot work. Now they are saying he makes too much money, and cannot get some of the help he needs especially with upcoming assisted living because he cannot keep up with the house he lived in for 58 years. Any suggestions?

While it might appear that he has assets that he can use to help out his daughter in her time of need, the truth is he needs his assets for his own care. With the proper legal guidance he can sometimes prevent costly errors. There are VA benefits and Medicaid benefits. A properly trained attorney will be able to take you and your dad’s circumstances into consideration and give you proper advice. You are both vulnerable and need the best advice possible. That takes a trained professional.
