It would be easiest to have a local doctor write new scripts. She'll need a local doctor, and it would be good to have her seen by this new doctor earlier than later.
In some states a Medicaid patient needs to have prescriptions written by a doctor participating with Medicaid in their state. If Rx comes from another state, it may have trouble being filled in new state.
NMsearcher, I would just go ahead and get the prescriptions. Usually Assisted Living facilities use their own on-line pharmacy and the meds are delivered to the facility.
