Can I keep a motor home in a pooled trust and keep my Medicaid eligibility?

Medicaid in for health insurance or medicaid in care for a nursing home. I really don't understand trusts. Why would you put a trailer into a trust when it depreciates like a car. Eventually its not worth anything. If you are already on Medicaid they see the trailer as an asset. Doesn't a trust protect assets? Not sure u can protect something once you are collecting Medicaid. But there r members who know more than me.
