Can I take out a loan for dental work with my mother's POA?

Even if you legally can I'd be looking for another solution, ask about a payment plan or see if you can have some of the work done at a dental school. And get a second opinion!

Not for your own dental work. Being POA does not give you legal access to mother's money to spend on yourself.
