Anyone had caregiver die while caring for parent?

This happened to me, the sister of caregiver and I feel that I missed the signs seeing sickly, stressed caregiver for parent with dementia and blindness. To fight to the end as many caregivers feel really committed and refuse to see the signs until it's too late or just did not think of admitting their loved one, Dad to a NH. It's been very sad, brother passed with an INFECTIOUS disease six mos before Dad died of a UTI toxic SHOCK in the NH.
