My mother is needing dentures. All but 4 of her uppers are gone. She is very poor. Are there any programs that pay for dentures?

Depending on your state, if she is on Medicaid there may be some assistance. Call your Area Agency on Aging and see if they know of any programs in your area that might help. If you are able to help make the payments you can apply for a Care Credit card. It is designed specifically for medical/dental expenses. Some service providers offer 6 months interest free.

Does Mom have Medicaid? In some cases and in some states, Medicaid will kick in for oral care. About all you can do is call your local office and ask, if she does have Medicaid. If she doesn’t, you may want to apply. Check local hospitals. They may have dental clinics. Check Dental Schools/ Colleges.
