Putting my mom in LTC facility pending Medicaid. If we sell her house during this period can we use the money to pay off her bills?

She owns a home that is worth about 45k. She is in the hospital on observation and pending a nusing home to get her in for LTC. They said that she would have to be in a LTC facility for at least 30 days pending Medicaid but if she doesn’t qualify can we use the money to pay her private pay until she does?
