If only needed for meds why does caregiver need to be there 24 hours? There are services that will fill a pill minder on a weekly basis.
It is not uncommon in my area for a live-in to make $25.00 an hour. Wouldn't you expect this caregiver to take action if there were an issue? That is caregiving, not just med dispensing.
What you’re looking for is basically a full-time caregiver. I’ve read on this site that they can cost $25.00 an hour. Checknwith your local Area Agency on Aging. Google your city and Area Agency on Aging for the location and phone number of the agency. They can tell you if their are programs in your area who can help. In our city,we have two; one is Direction Home and the other is Passport.

It sounds like a 10 hour day, 8 hour night = 18 hours a day.
That is 2 full shifts plus 2 hours.
Is that correct?
