If the DPOA used the funds for their own personal use, how do I as trustee remove them ?

I don't think you can as a Trustee. Only the person who assigned the person can. I explained in your other post that the POA cannot use the money personally. Maybe as Trustee you can ask for an accounting? You need to consult with a lawyer.
