nanagutz, if this is for yourself, I would highly recommend you talk with an Elder Law Attorney to make sure you have all your ducks in a row. Each State has their own rules about Trust, Probate, Wills, etc. And rules can change every few years so it is best to make sure everything is up-to-date.
I think it is GREAT that you are planning ahead. Make sure relatives know where the paperwork would be filed at your home. Or the name of the Elder Law Attorney you had used.
