My Mother-in-law is 93 years old, in memory care in a nursing home. She is blind and suffers Alzheimers Disease.

My father in-law was a veteran and is deceased. Are there any benefits available for my Mother-in-laws care?

Is she on Medicaid? If yes, she cannot get Aid and Attendance.

If she is private pay then call your local VA and ask a rep. You will need Dads discharge papers. Not the pretty one for framing but a typed written one. Also, there is paper saying he is entitled to benefits. For A & A his has to have been in during wartime.

Thank you for your assistance. She is on self-pay, so I will contact the VA for guidance.

AgingCare has a section of posts and articles that might have some answers

but your best bet is to contact the VA and ask. You could also ask her nursing home if they accept medicaid if she is running out of assets. If she is approaching the end of life she could also get some extra care if she qualifies for hospice.
