Anyone ever worked with TENNCARE... like Medicaid for the state of TN?

We are trying to get mom on TENNCARE, but having major issues. Most of the documents they want we can’t get to due to not yet having POA. She’s not spent down. She has long term care and they told me they will not pay if she has that. But, she’s only got enough to live on for a few months and then what? Plus, she has 3 properties that are totally worthless that put her over asset limit. She has a year left of long term care insurance. She will be way out of $$$ before that. I don’t know what to do. WE can’t spend down unless it’s spent on her. I think we are going to have to end up paying at some point in time. It’s $7400 a month! It’s becoming a nightmare. Has anyone worked with TENNCARE before?
